The Panna Maria School was formerly a K-8 public school facility serving rural children in Karnes City ISD. Closed in 1988, the building was used by the parish for a while to hold CCD classes, then became a storage facility for the district a few years. Eventually in 2008, it was returned back to our community through the Historical Society. We have now completed the renovation which included installing a kitchen area and replacing the original glass louver windows with insulated windows to facilitate energy efficient air conditioning. The building is again used for CCD classes during the school year and is also available to rent for family reunions, Wakes, bridal/baby showers, and Parties.
